Terms of Service: Multi-Day Adventures

Pricing:

All prices are per person. Prices include tour costs only; they do not include travel costs to and from the tour.

A deposit of $400 is required at time of booking to secure your space. Full payment is required 60 days before departure date.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancel 61-90 days prior to trip: Full refund, less deposit
Cancel 31-60 days prior to trip: 50% of trip cost is refundable
Cancel 0-30 days prior to the trip: 100% trip cost is non-refundable

Tour Cancellation by Host

Outdoor Mavens reserves the right to make any changes deemed necessary; including, but not limited to: advertised excursions, arranged transportation, advertised meals, etc.

In the rare case of a tour cancellation, OM will offer a full refund of your payment. Outdoor Mavens is not responsible for any expenses or damages incurred as a result of tour cancellation including preparation costs, airline tickets, travel documents or other expenses.

Outdoor Mavens reserves the right to cancel any tour prior to departure in the event that there are too few people booked, in which case you will be given a full refund of any and all payments made. You will not be entitled to claim any additional amounts or seek any compensation for any injury, loss, expenses or damages (either direct or consequential) or for any loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation (including but not limited to visa, passport and vaccination charges, or departure, gear purchases, airport and airline taxes).

We highly suggest purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment.

Late Fees of Final Payment

Final payment for all Outdoor Maven tours is due no later than 60 days before the trip start date. Customers who do not submit final payment by this date window will have their space on the tour revoked, and trip deposit will be retained. In extenuating circumstances, clients will be given five business days to submit final payment, if 60 day window has elapsed.

Group safety on Tours

Participating in a group tour is a team effort. If you are asked to leave a tour for bad behavior, violence, or any other disruptive action, you will not be refunded or reimbursed. If you have undisclosed addictions including alcoholism or substance abuse that makes you a danger to yourself or others on your tour, you may be asked to leave without being refunded or reimbursed. We have a zero tolerance policy for gossip, bullying, harassment, or violence of any kind.

Force Majeure

Outdoor Mavens assumes no liability for, any loss, damage, delay, or cancellation resulting in whole or in part from an Act of God or any other force majeure condition, including, without limitation: fire, volcanic eruption, hurricane, environmental pollution or contamination, inclement weather, earthquake, low or high water levels, flood, water or power shortages or failures, tropical storms or hurricanes, riots or civil commissions or disturbances, and any other acts of a similar nature, sabotage, arrests, strikes or labor disruptions, expropriations, acts of terrorism, war, insurrection, quarantine restrictions, government health advisories, epidemics, pandemics, or warnings or alerts of any kind of nature, government seizures, refusal or cancellation or suspension or delay of any government authority or any license, permit or authorization, damages to its facilities or the travel supplier and its facilities, or any other unforeseen circumstances or any other factors unforeseen by Outdoor Mavens that impacts negatively on, or hampers, its ability to fulfill any of its contractual conditions. In the circumstances amounting to force majeure, we will not be required to refund any money to you.

Terms of Service: Custom Adventure Planning

All Adventure Concierge packages & Custom Trip Plans require a $150 non-refundable deposit

In the event of client cancellation, Outdoor Mavens will retain this deposit.

The transfer of resale of these planned tour packages is not allowed, and infringes on copy-write and intellectual property rights.

Outdoor Mavens will not be held liable for any injuries, disruption of travel, damages, or other losses due to traveling on a trip OM has built for independent travel. Adventure travel involves risk of injury, illness, and death. Customers release all liability while traveling out in the wilderness on their own, or on an Outdoor Mavens private or scheduled tour.

Terms of Service: Gear Rentals

Full payment is required at time of booking to secure your rental.

Gear is to be returned by noon on the final day of rental.

We have the right to charge you for any damages to our gear. Please respect our gear as if it were your own.

Any gear not returned will be charged to the credit card on file. If you want to buy our gear, we are happy to arrange this.

Cancellation & Refund Policy: Gear Rental
You can cancel or update your rental order at any time up to 24 hours prior to your pick up date. There is a $25 cancellation fee for all rentals that are cancelled.
